One thing I
really like about pinhole glasses is that I can use them to read
and watch television at the same time.
That is, I can be reading an article or something and simply look up and
clearly watch something on TV across the room. I would have to remove normal
spectacles if I wanted to read. Even my more expensive transition lense
spectacles are no longer comfortable for reading.

PINHOLE GLASSES : Get rid of those glasses / lenses

Pinhole glasses or pinhole spectacles are
amazing eyewear. Mine are a great substitute for my prescription eyeglasses and
I see quite clearly with pinholes. I'm now aged sixty-something and worn
spectacles for myopia and astigmatism since age eleven.
Well I just want to remind you that I’m
no eye doctor, but I can explain things to you in a way that makes the most
sense to me.
Even
if you don’t wear glasses, that doesn’t mean that your eyes aren’t stressed. It
also means that by wearing pinhole glasses you could prevent yourself from
having to wear glasses in the future.
The
bottom line is that, no, you do not absolutely need pinhole glasses if you
don’t already wear glasses. But if the only thing you needed to do to keep your
eyes relaxed and healthy for the rest of your life was to wear pinhole glasses
occasionally, the answer seems obvious.
I have some
slight double vision. My vision has greatly improved over the few short weeks
that I've been using the glasses. I'm hoping for continued improvement as I
continue wearing them. I'm buying a pair for my husband who is having trouble
with reading. Thanks for a great product.

I first came
across pinholes in China. Later I have seen the same product packaged in
different ways being marketed in a few other countries such as the United
States, United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore. Trying on the glasses, I found
that vision is indeed sharper. There is a dramatic improvement of my myopia.
For example, my usual acuity is so bad it's off the eye chart. However with the
pinholes, I could get about 20/60 vision in bright light. This phenomenon is well-understood
and used by opticians in eye-testing to determine the best-correctable
vision. Hanwen,

My vision has dramatically improved
because of the pinhole readers ... I no longer have to wear glasses.

“I
turned my -4D prescription into almost perfect 20/20 vision on both eyes… in
less than two months.”
After
analyzing a lot of data regarding pinhole glasses I can say that they may have
a positive effect on your vision. The reason is simple: they help focus the
light on your lens and will make the eye muscles responsible for adjusting the
lens work harder and “pull” the lens in the right direction.
There
is a full explanation of how pinhole glasses can be used within the program,
but it should be mentioned that these type of glasses give the best results to
those who are near-sighted, far-sighted, or astigmatic. No eye exam, no prescription
needed. Just put them on and see clearly. While pinhole glasses are claimed to
be useful for people who are both near and far-sighted, they are not
recommended for people with over 6 diopters of myopia. They must not be used in
dark places. Pinhole glasses are not medical devices. There is no prescription
required for pinhole glasses.
When retinitis pigmentosa is suspected, visual field testing likely will be conducted during or after your routine eye exams to determine the extent of peripheral vision loss. Other specialized eye tests may be needed to determine whether you have lost night or color vision. Best retinitis pigmentosa treatment
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I'm considering getting glasses and this article helped me understand the additional benefits of wearing eyeglasses beyond vision correction.
